Accessing 3D Content from the Amherst Public GIS Viewer:

The Amherst Public GIS Viewer displays a "See 3D Building" link among the property information of any properties that have 3D buildings in the Google 3D Warehouse.  
Click Here to see a status map of all properties in Amherst with 3D Buildings.

The Amherst Public GIS Viewer also provides a way to get directly to any location in Amherst in Google Earth; look for the dropdown link list to the lower left of the map, pick Google Earth & click "Go"   

** Attention users of Internet Explorer 7: The default security settings of IE7 will prevent the Amherst Public GIS Viewer link to Google Earth from working.  If you wish to use this feature, you must enable automatic prompting for file downloads by following these steps:

      1.) In Internet Explorer, click the Tools menu & choose Internet Options..."

      2.) Click the Security Tab & click the "Custom Level..." button

      3.) Under the Downloads heading, enable "Automatic Prompting for File Downloads"
